
Currently North East Maths Tutor is run by Stephen Sanders, and is a service that gives private Mathematics tuition to students in their own homes.
Stephen is a teacher formerly employed by Tynemouth College (now part of Tyne Metropolitan College). He was a lecturer there for over 20 years before leaving in August 2005 to concentrate on giving private tuition.
He has taught Mathematics and Numeracy at all levels, including University Scholarship Examinations, Further Maths A-level, all branches of AS and A2 Maths (Pure, Mechanics, Statistics, Decision), GCSE and Adult Numeracy.
Stephen is a graduate of Newcastle University, and holds a post-graduate teaching certificate. He has an Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB.
Stephen has enjoyed a successful four years of tutoring a variety of students, from year 6 to year 13, as well as a number of adults, including several undergraduates.
As well as tutoring, Stephen has now worked for three years as an academic tutor (part-time) at the Faculty of Education and Society at the University of Sunderland. At the end of the course last year he was presented with an award by the students. Well, that really takes the biscuit!
