During the summer of 2008 my wife and I stayed in the home of her Aunt in Flic en Flac, on the west coast of Mauritius.
Pam's aunt's brother-in-law has a boat which he uses for day trips from the Flic en Flac area. Often there are dolphins to be spotted in the bay of Tamarin - sadly on our visit they had gone elsewhere. There's never any guarantee of wildlife being exactly where you expect.
He took us to a snorkelling area off the reef and also to the nearby "coconut island" (Île aux Bénitiers) for a barbecue lunch. The whole trip lasted about 6 hours.
Raj also takes folk out for the day to go deep-sea fishing for fish such as the marlin. If you are staying anywhere in the Woolmar/Flic en Flac region and want a day in a boat, why not give him a ring?
